Developing players and instilling a passion for the game

The Washington Soccer Academy (WSA) is dedicated and committed to fostering a fun and valuable experience for all of our players and families. We fully embrace the opportunity and responsibility to create an undeniable passion for the game for our players and develop each to their highest potential. This is accomplished by our players, parents, coaches, and staff understanding and living our core tenets which are rooted in growth and education both on and off the field.

"Teams don't learn. Individuals within the team learn. Development is a personal process even when conducted in a team environment."

Johan Cruyff

Summer Camp

Challenger International Soccer Camps (staffed by coaches from Europe, Brazil, and the U.S.) teach a fun, technical, and tactical based curriculum, revolving around five of the world’s leading soccer nations: Brazil, France, Spain, UK, and the US. The International Soccer Camp will feature a number of new elements in the curriculum and will also include a groundbreaking technology feature providing players with an app-based platform that will help them prepare before camp, learn skills quicker and more efficiently during the camp, and then help them to continue their education and skill development with camp homework and on-going virtual training throughout the season.

Plus once again, players will be able to extend their learning experience through the TopYa! Juggling Club Sampler App. This incredible system motivates and inspires players to reach new levels of skill and creativity, and connects them with a professional coach who provides coaching and encouragement throughout the entire year. All participants in Challenger Camps or Academy Programs get Juggling Club and 5 skills videos for free!”

This combination of on and off-field skill development will both engage and entertain players and will encourage them to push the boundaries of their talents.

WSA Competitive Teams

Our competitive soccer program is designed for players who possess a strong passion as well as commitment to this beautiful game. For this reason, we have partnered with the Missouri Youth Soccer Association (MYSA) and St. Louis Youth Soccer Association (SLYSA) to provide players and teams with a learning and development culture through a safe and competitive environment.

Our competitive program will develop our teams and players in four specific areas: physical, technical, tactical and mental. Our competitive teams are led by USSF licensed coaches who offer a high standard of coaching through the implementation of a sound methodology.

Teams are forming for the 2021/2022 season for both boys and girls born between 2009-2014. Please see more information and registration for our tryouts on our blog.
