JOIN WSA PRE-REC LEAGUE

THE OFFICIAL MYSA-SANCTIONED LEAGUE IN FRANKLIN COUNTY

Designed as an introduction, our pre-rec league helps players build the necessary skills to succeed both on and off the field. All players will be led by WSA parent volunteers who will implement a development curriculum based on principles established by US Soccer in weekly training and games.

The Pre-Rec league is offered in short sessions in the Fall and the Spring.

GAME MODEL:

• The Pre-Rec League plays 4v4, with no goalkeepers
• Games are 40 min long (2 - 20 minute halves, with 5 minute halftime)
• Ball Size: 3

EQUIPMENT NEEDED:

• Shin guards
• Cleats
• Water bottle

TEAM COACHES

Teams are created general registration of players. Parent volunteers coach all teams. Parents are supported by a WSA curriculum and training. Coaches are offered player registration fee reimbursement for completion of MYSA credentials and attending the pre-season coaches meeting.

TEAM TRAINING

All Team Training will be on either Monday, Tuesday, Wednesday or Thursday evenings (chosen by the coach), at Washington Lakeview Fields.

GAMES

Games will be played on Friday evenings at WSA fields.

KEY DATES

• Registration is OPEN!
• Registration closes February 1, 2025
• Training begins the week of March 10, 2025
• Game schedule published by March 14, 2025
• Games will be played on Friday nights & Saturday mornings, beginning March 21, 2025
• No Games on Easter Weekend - April 18th & 19th
• Games end by May 17, 2025
